CyberSmart & Kawa of Care

This lady named Deborah came into our class and taught us about what safe things we should do with our chromebooks. We had to learn about CyberSmart and kawa of care. We learnt where we should be at the right time in the right place. We made a copy of this slide from the cybersmart page of our Te Maunga site. On the slide we had to take a screenshot of the five things we should be on.

Time

At school we created this google drawing named time. I learnt that there are 17520 hours in 2 years and there are 8,760 in 1 year. I also learnt that there are 24 hours in a day and 48 hours in 2 days. I learnt that there are 60 minutes in an hour and there are 60 seconds in a minute.

Project Energize

On Tuesdays every two weeks we went to Project Energize. A girl named Gina taught us how to eat healthier food. There are four food groups Meat, Fruit/Veg, Grain, Dairy. Thick chips are healthier than thin chips. For Project Energize we also learnt about the different types of takeaways and we put them in the right places we had a non healthy and a healthy place. We learnt about unhealthy drinks like Powerade, V Drink, Coke and other drinks, we also learnt about healthy drinks like water and milk.

Blog Post

On Friday the 30th of August Paihia School had cross country at Bledisloe. Thea and Charlize couldn’t run because they had injuries so they took the pictures of the people that ran. The nine and ten year old girls and boys had to go to the second padic. Then run back down the hill to the finish line. Brisa came first ayanda came second and ebony came third.
