Recycling

In Te Maunga I learnt about recycling. In Recycling I learnt the process of recycling for example a bottle gets thrown into the recycling plant and then it gets made into something useful. Next is Refuse for example a beer bottle it gets thrown into the dump and doesn’t get reused. Next Reuse for example a wine bottle it can be used multiple times for different things. Last is Reduce for example a lot of recycling you cut back a lot of recycling that you have made.

PopCorn

In Te Maunga we made an animation about plants. We made this animation a few months ago and we had separate ones. We had to read four different books about plants. My animation was about popcorn. I have 72 pages and I finished it. I had a cartoon girl saying stuff like she feels like doing gardening today. I learnt that popcorn can grow in interesting ways.

Healthy Snack

Last week Te Maunga learnt what plants need to grow. We had to make a healthy snack like a salad. Some of the class that was on one side had to come over to the other side of the class and see what other people made. My group was Charlize, Ebony, Ashlyn, Poet and I. We made a salad and we used Parsley, Carrot, Silverbeet, Feta cheese, Lettuce, Celery, Avocado Spring onion, Tomato and our dressing was honey mustard. We also learnt how plants grow for T-shaped literacy and we had to read four different stories about how plants grow and we had to write stuff from the stories but in our own words.
